Fire Monitoring Integrated System

Fire Monitoring Integrated System regards the development of an integrated system to prevent and monitor forest fires. It will be based on a wireless low energy consumption network, that will consist of several nodes and will be supplied by solar panels.

Every node will be equipped with innovative sensors, monitoring different environmental parameters: from the noise of radiation and gas which are emitted during the fire initial phase, to the wind speed direction and the temperature in order to prevent the spreading. Output signals of the different sensors are electronically elaborated and wirelessly communicated to a central station, that will be able to determinate a precise fire danger level though a complex software.
